Tracked well and very easy to hook up and take down. All I can say is that it towed great going for a quick spin around the neighborhood. My neighbor and I installed the Sidewinder on my Arctic Fox 29-5E. I have a Bakflip bedcover and it fits perfect over the hitch. Very good to work with! I had the hitch installed yesterday by a shop close to me and they also installed a wiring kit into the bed of my truck in a spot that did not affect the RAMBOX or the bed. My setup is a Curt 16K Hitch with bed rails using the frame kit and what really makes it work is using the Reese 5th Airborne Sidewinder I bought the Hitch and install kit off Amazon and got a great price on both. It was a challenge but I finally got it done. So they said it couldn't be done.tow a 5th wheel with my RAM the way I have set up, short bed with RAMBOX. Vehicle Paint Code – Again, If we are to provide the topper itself.I know that someone else on here had this issue so I thought I would chime in better late than never!.There have been mid-year changes throughout the production cycles. The Topper Dealer will likely ask for your VIN to assure the exact topper is provided for the truck.To date, the suppliers are happy to modify and mount inclusive of their labor. You would be able to order the topper itself locally if desired. We are also working with various Topper dealers now who can do the work required as well.The 2019 forward are assumed but we can provide mounts for earlier versions as well.
Its important there is a rigid mount/rail.
The bottom end of the actuator will mount to a Billet Aluminum block we provide. If there is none we, or the customer would need to provide. A picture of the bed lip/rail area is most helpful as there needs to be some sort of mounting area.If a rail is not present, they would be available through your local RAM dealer us as well. There are all kinds of beds, most incorporate factory supplied rail mounts located towards the top of the truck bed.In our specific case we have a Diamond Black which was supported. If they don’t support a specific color, a pre-primed ready to paint version can be provided. In this regard, if the vehicle has a standard factory paint, the topper company pre-paints the Toppers in most cases. When ordering a Topper (whether through us or you local provider/installer) the information below will be used in ordering a topper specific to your likes. We suggest you source the topper locally and either have the dealer modify it or you, the customer modify it.
